![]() I recently upgraded my laptop from Vista (internal modem) to a new laptop with Windows 10 (USRobotics 56K USB Modem). I was able to install Symantec Procomm Plus 4.8 and run correctly, with the exception, every time I close the application, I get a blue screen with a message 'Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart.
We're just collecting some error info, and then we'll restart for you.' I've tried contacting for additional information on 'WDF VIOLATION', but to no avail. Has anyone else run into this problem and know of a fix? I'm a Nortel Voice Technician with 15+ sites (Opt. 11's) and use Procomm Plus to remote into the systems. If you added new hardware or software program like the Symantec Procomm Plus 4.8 to your PC before the Blue Screen error, we suggest that you shut down your PC, uninstall the program, and try restarting.
